Every year LOWA members gather on the second weekend of August for fun, fishing and fellowship. The conference site moves around the State of Louisiana and the LOWA Board of Directors works closely with local Convention and Visitors Bureaus to ensure fun and educational activities for the two days of the conference. The conference is capped off with our Annual Awards Banquet, which includes:

  • LOWA’s internal awards, the Excellence in Craft Awards
  • Fish of the Year Awards
  • Youth Journalism Contest Awards
  • Youth Hunter Awards
  • Youth Angler Awards

2023 Conference

The 2023 LOWA Conference is Friday and Saturday August 4 – 5 at The Holiday Inn Express, in Sulphur Louisiana

Past conferences have taken place in Nachitoches, Shreveport, Morgan City, Lafayette, Chalmette, Houma, Covington, Lake Charles,. Morgan City and St. Francisville. If your town has something special to offer (and a venue for a conference), please contact us with details!
